Red Wing Black Bird and more!

An impromptu day off work proved to be an exciting start to March for me. On my way to work I spotted a Red Wing Black Bird in a bog that I tend to watch on a regular basis. Right now the activity in there is bustling with paired Geese staking their claim to prime nesting sites.

As I was getting closer to my destination I spotted my first Robin of the year, that was yesterday, today I've seen six more.

Yesterday while hiking through a Marsh I found a caterpillar (which I have yet to ID) making a break for it across a snowmobile trail.

It sure is spring :)

Yes, it sure is Spring! Isn't that grand!
