Fred and Sue Swayne wrote ... We sighted a pair of Peafowl in South Dundas on County road 7 in Elma near Chesterville. They were on our front porch, being tailed, from a distance, by two of our cats. They did not like the attention and left quickly.

Josie Lavigne from Rockton said ... Male and female peacock spotted this morning (March 28th) @7:30am along Baseline Road.

Patricia Dean from Amherstburg reported ... on August 17, 2023 at 2:15 in the afternoon on Howard Avenue, just down from Simcoe Street, there was a family of 3 peacocks trying to cross the road. I couldn’t reach my cellphone to get a photo, but I will certainly be keeping it close from now on.

From Thorold, Ana wrote to tell us ... when I was 9 years old, I went out to play in the snow, and I spotted a colourful looking bird and I called my cousin to come see, and just before it walked away, she saw it. We decided to take a look, so we got our boots on and followed its tracks for about 7 minutes. The tracks went up a hill, and then they disappeared. We were confused, and we decided to go home because we started to get hungry. We never found out what happened to the bird.

Chris from Ottawa said... I saw a peacock - much to my amazement - in front of my mother's place in Ottawa, Ontario, on a warm day about 35 years ago, maybe more. Like an apparition on the street, this blaze of colour framed by green trees and bushes around it. I was flabbergasted and blown away by its beauty. Did not know there were peacocks in Ontario.

Bootsie from Sherkston wrote ... tonight around 9pm, there was a peacock on the front porch. It was gently startled when the door opened. It walked in the grass, along the driveway until it cut towards the pond. It made its way into the long grass along the ponds' edge in Sherkston, Ontario
