Indigo Buntings

In the past week I have received two reports from readers who have spotted Indigo Buntings.

Darlene wrote ... I have viewed this bird twice in two days at Duttona Trailer Park in southern Ontario (close to Dutton and West Lorne) along the north shore of Lake Erie.

Lisa from Whitby also wrote to say ... I think I may have seen an Indigo Bunting tonight in my garden. There is a cedar forest behind my house. I live in Whitby, Ontario on the hundred year flood plain. I've never seen this bird before it is quite beautiful.
