I saw a Wolf in Milton today

by David Hern
(Milton, Ontario, Canada)

My sighting was in the new park in the new subdivision where I live in Milton, Ontario. This area used to be farm land near the creek.

This animal wanted my little dog for dinner, I'm sure as it stalked me and my dog for ten minutes, but I stood my ground and it gave up.

I got on top of the children's slide in the park where I was at the time with my dog, and waited for it to go away.

It did not make a sound, just circled us and I growed at it like a dog and showed no fear.

It was young I think, probably 40 pounds at the most.

This happened at 5:00 am in the morning before I went to work.

Thank you David, for this report of your sighting.

Blood curdling sounds at 12:30 becoming frequent
by: Anonymous

We live on Savoline blvd between the fire station and the school on the other side of the street, a few doors down is a grassy area with a small pond. Frequently in the late evening/early morning, after 12am, and the last 3 times I looked at the
clock it was 12:30am, we have been hearing a wild pack of dogs. We have heard this numerous times. It sounds like at least 5-7 and they sounds like they are killing something. Several times it sounded like they were killing a dog or an animal that crys out like that. Blood curdling sounds late at night, it is quite and all of the sudden we hear barking, yelping, crys a bunch of unsettling noises including like if a dog is in pain how they cry out.
Everyone has heard this in my house. It is very disturbing. We have stopped taking our dogs out after dark because of this. My daughter has even seen most likely another pack of several at the end of Savoline blvd at the lights of Louis St Laurent early in the morning several times. We are concerned about the warmer weather and people going for a walk or walking pets. Are they moving closer in rural areas because of the covid lack of people outdoors especially at night? It reminds me of the movies where animals move into cities because the people are gone. My question is what can we do to get our Mayor and MPs to assist idk but we should start making calls because it is happening more frequently now.

Saw a wolf on James Snow
by: Anonymous

Driving home at 3:30am, on James Snow, approaching Luis St. Laurent and saw a wolf! Didnt even know we had them close by but for sure was not a Coyote! Was driving by him and we locked eyes and he pretty much lunged at my car! I swerved and he just ran across the street!!! So crazy, just blown away that I saw one and hoping pet owners keep their pets indoors! Was a bit frightening!!

Two Wolves running along Lakeshore near Walkers Line
by: Anonymous

This evening, around 8:00 my daughter, her bff and myself were driving along Lakeshore Road when two Grey Wolves ran across the road into a private property on the south side of Lakeshore. We were all stunned, asking one another "did you see what I saw?" I called 311 and the fellow on the other end of the line didn't seem as if he believed me. But there were three sets of eyes that all agreed they were not Coyotes, Foxes or dogs - these were two Wolves.

Out for a walk with my dog around 7pm on November 24/2015. This large Coyote/ coyote wolf (whatever he is) was on the sidewalk on Salvoline (across from the park just south of Pringle) and walked back into the creek as we approached. He's a big boy... Be cautious!

At Royal Woodbine Golf Course
by: Anonymous

I saw one at Royal Woodbine Golf Course close to Pearson Airport. It kind of stopped and stared at us a bit and went off to the next hole, it sat down next to the green watching the next group of golfers putting balls in the hole. It was the size of a big German Shepherd.

The animals you saw was likely a Coyote, as we have had many sightings of them in that area - thanks for writing to tell us about what you saw!

On January 22nd 2011, myself and my wife were driving south on Thompson Road just past Derry Road, and saw a large Wolf walking across the road.

We stopped and watched it walk east-bound on the power line field.

It was awesome to see it.
