Backyard Coyotes in Kitchener

My wife and I were sitting on our elevated deck on August 6 2012 about 9 pm when, out from the woods, two Coyotes appeared.

They were sniffing the ground in an area where we know rabbits live. The sighting lasted approximately 1 minute and they left as fast as they arrived.

Our house backs onto conservation land and we have seen them in the winter when the trees are bare along with their footprints in the snow. T

They always seem to be hunting for food and we have never seen them resting. One night, they made a kill in the backyard and they made their presence known by yipping and howling.

It was quite loud and awakened our neighbors.

These animals looked very healthy and alert. I'm sure we will see more of them.
