Wolf sighting in Ajax neighborhood

White Wolf

I live close to the 401 and I work the night shift and was leaving for work one night when I saw a large white wolf surrounded by a dozen smaller ones (possibly coyotes) walking down the road!!

The wolf noticed me first and stopped to watch me. I realized I was out numbered so I ran back to my front door, fumbling to get my keys into the lock.

Came back out with my husband a few minutes later and they were all gone. He didn't believe me until he saw the wolf himself a few nights later!

It was the largest most beautiful creature we had ever seen up close in the city.

I wonder if this one was a wolf and coyote hybrid. Apparently these are becoming more common in the city.

I wonder if anyone else has similar sightings or experiences...
