by Nancy
(Aurora, Ontario, Canada )

Saw this one on my deck in Aurora Ontario tonight, September 8th at around 6 pm.

Can you tell me more?

Can anyone help Nancy identify this raptor? Picture taken in September in Aurora, Ontario.

TIA

Aurora Hawk
by: Lex

This Hawk in your yard is a Coopers Hawk about 15½-17½ inches (40-45cm) long. Often seen in residential areas. Another Hawk very similar in appearance is the Sharp-shinned Hawk, which is smaller than a Coopers Hawk around 11 inches (28cm) long.
