Waterloo Hawk

Waterloo Hawk

width="485"

I spotted this Hawk late afternoon sitting high up in a tree in Beechwood in Waterloo.

Is it a Coopers or a Red Tail Hawk?

I don't know, but I'm sure our readers will!

I will also post this on our facebook page and perhaps one of our facebook followers will be able to identify this hawk for you.

What you have there is a Red-tailed Hawk.
Either a Cooper's or a Sharp-shinned would exhibit a much longer tail. Happy birding.
