Turkey Vultures in Aurora and Ottawa

A couple of weeks ago, K. Mikula wrote to tell us ..... Just spotted a Turkey Vulture 19/3/11 at 3:50 pm flying over the St. Andrews Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario, its the first time I've ever seen one. Spectacular!


And another reader from the Ottawa area wrote to say ..... I've never seen one before around here, I thought it was the size of a flying ground hog, it was huge! My daughter and I were driving south on Carp Road and saw it flying on our left, about 20 yards away at around 2:00 pm on 4/30/2011. What an amazing viewing!
