Turkey Vultures

Turkey Vultures

Spotted this morning on my way to work (8:30 am) in Guelph on 25 side road just west of Guelph line.

The birds were just sitting in the tree.

There were ~ 10 more Turkey Vultures just sitting in the field.

No prey in sight or birds circling overhead.

Great shot

I was hiking at Seneca College (King Campus) about 5 years ago just before the sun when down. There was an old farmhouse (since torn down) that had 4 of these critters on the roof looking down at me...it would have been a perfect scene for a horror film.

One of my favourite places to watch these birds is on the Bruce Trail at Mono Centre....they love to soar near the cliffs.
