Toronto Coyote

I just spent the last hour watching a Coyote walking around the frozen surface of Lake Ontario nearby the Island airport.

He ventured quite far out into the lake then turned back and eventually made it back to land just east of the runway.

I tracked him from our apartment overlooking the lake using powerful binoculars.

Unfortunately he was too far out to take a decent photo and it was getting dark.

It was fascinating to watch him negotiate his way back to land.
