St Agatha Coyote

by Vy Waller
(St. Agatha, Ontario, Canada)

We were hiking in Schneider's Bush, just outside of St. Agatha, Ontario when we saw a Coyote just 50 feet down a hill from us.

I actually wondered if it was a Wolf because it was so big.

It just stood looking at us for about 30 seconds and then ran slowly off into the bush.

We followed but did not see it again. It made no barking sound at all.

Our one dog was busy following a rabbit scent and our other dog was close to us and I put it on a leash.

The Coyote did not seem to be concerned about us or the dogs.
