Sighting fromTeamtonin

(Hamilton, Ontario)

I was about 300m from the parking lot at the Windermere Basin Loop trail, off East Port Drive in Hamilton, Ontario, looking for a geocache, when a Coyote crossed the trail about 50m in front of me.

I was by myself so I turned around and walked away and then ran back to my van. This was my second encounter with a Coyote in less than 2 weeks.

The first one was on the rail trail heading south on from Dickinson Rd in Hamilton. I was with my dog and again turned around and left.

I am actually scared now to hike alone.

I think running, hiking or walking with a partner is a wise descision with all the Coyote sightings at the moment.
