Red tailed hawk

In my back yard, Stratford, Ontario.

I heard a lot of commotion with noisy crows flying over head, then I saw this large hawk land on grass.

It sat there for quite a while then perched on the fence.

It landed back on the grass, pounced and came up with a mouse.

He/she took it back on the fence and ate it, he finished then flew off.

All manner of birds where crying the alarm that a predator was near. It was quite noisy and entertaining.
