Prints from an Unknown Animal

My lawn has been free of footprints or prints from birds cats dogs ever since last snowfall, but I check everyday to make sure no one has entered my yard.
Yesterday I noticed what looked like very large paw prints so today I tried to get pictures before snow melted.
They are hard to see but if you look 👀 very closely you can see the nail imprints.
My kitty is very hesitant to go outside, but after checking out the situation he does, but I am right beside him.
What is it?
