Possum in need of warmth

I found an Opossum resting in the middle of the road with a patch of fur missing from its back.

I encouraged it to relocate to the lawn by the road and then put a blanket on it to keep it warm. It gratefully tucked itself in the blanket.

I called the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo who kindly came to get the little one the help it needed.

They were super responsive and very kindly took care of it.

I’m waiting to hear how it’s doing and hope it gets placed back in its neighborhood.
