Pack of Three

by Jo-Anne Tyborski
(Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada)

Saw a pack of three Coyotes in a field where I usually see deer.

I had brought my camera that day to photograph the deer, but there were no deer and only Coyotes.

I snapped some shots, thought I would attach them.

They were in Richmond Hill near the Observatory.

Thank you so much for sending us your charming pictures!

They are lovely and I know our readers will enjoy them as much as we did!

Looks like the eastern wolf hybrid..
by: Anonymous

That last photo, makes it look like your coyotes are the hybrid that is mixed with the eastern red wolf, they are far more aggressive then the western coyote and a lot bigger and will attack a Human... please be careful... research Taylor Mitchell attacked by coyotes (mixed with red wolf) Cape Breton Island Park, she died from her extensive injuries... that last photo, looks exactly like that species of coy hybrid from that region... looks like they migrated into southern Ontario finally made it here... time to hire hunters to clean them up.

I hear them 2-3 times a week around 1-3 am barking and howling. Sounds like a pack rather than 3. I say at least 6-10... maybe more.

Great shots

Very nice shots of the Coyote hunting for mice. I have seen foxes do the same pouncing routine when they are hunting for little critters under the snow.
