I have numerous salvia plants in my yard as soon as they're in garden centers, and my first hummer was a red throated hummer, first time ever seeing one!

It was very exciting, but he didn't stick around. That was mid April this year.

Now I watch the little green hummers constantly feeding all day.

They start about 6 in the morning and end feeding around 7-ish. If another hummer comes they begin to fight!

It really is fascinating watching them!!
