Naked Squirrel

Not Pretty!

Not Pretty!

This unfortunate squirrel met his demise in a recent winter storm.

The squirrel progressively lost it's fur over the summer months and into the autumn.

The squirrel appeared to be active and eating normally.

I suspect a parasitic infection and was wondering if anyone has witnessed this, before.

Thank you for writing to us and sending this picture of the unfortunate squirrel.

I have never observed anything like this before but perhaps one of our readers has, and if so please let us know by leaving a comment below.
