Milton, Ontario

Driving home on March 8th 2012, at approx 5:00pm, I saw flashes of brilliant white against the heavy storm clouds which I thought at first were flocks of seagulls, but realized very quickly that the birds where too big.

What a beautiful sight. I had to stop!

The field to my left on the east side of Tremaine Road in Milton, had hundreds of these large white birds. I thought they where snow geese - but they didn't have the black wing tips.

They were not as close as I had hoped and I didn't have my binoculars with me but I believe they where Tundra Swans.

What ever kind of bird they where I was so lucky to see them.
