Male Screech Owl Nesting in Our Hollowed Out Mature Crabapple Tree

Male Screech Owl

On January 17, at 4:20 pm we looked in our back yard to see a male Screech Owl perching outside a large hole in our mature crabapple tree.

We had previously heard an Owl on December 31, New Year’s Eve, but could only make out the silhouette not the colouring.

How wonderful that you got to see the Owl, and were able to identify it too!
