Just saw a Possum in Newmarket

I had no idea we have Possums in Ontario.

It was big and ratty looking.

I thought at first it was an albino raccoon but a neighbour said she’s seen it 3 times.

Thanks for sending this picture, he looks a big fella! It looks like these critters are surviving well in southern Ontario and getting through our cold winters.

Just saw my first living opossum in my backyard in Quaker Hill. Never seen one other than road kill a few times.

I live in Newmarket near the forest but last night this opossum came right up to my stairs he was the size of a cat he had a white face and black body with a long skinny tail it took me by surprise cause I have never seen one ever up close like that only on pictures or tv. I was just glad my cat was in the house. He was quite though.
