It's a nice drive from Toronto, about an hour North East of the City.

Port Perry is located on the shores of Lake Scugog in Durham Region, about 30 minutes north of Oshawa / Whitby.

Haugen's is located on the south east corner of Highway 12 at 7A in the hamlet of Manchester, about a 3 minute drive just outside of Port Perry.

They have the greatest Rotisserie Chicken and baby back ribs I've ever tasted!

The place is family owned and operated and has been there since the early 1950's.

They were just featured on Food Network Canada's new show, "You Gotta Eat Here".

This place is a must if you're driving by on your way to the cottage, or out for a nice Sunday drive.

It sounds wonderful, thank you for telling us about this great eatery!

We have been going here a few times a summer for over 20 years as we head to our cottage. I can honestly say the food has been great every time! I love the original tomato based sauce but my husband always orders the dipping sauce. (Cant remember what they call it right now but its similar to you know who). The staff are first rate too!!!

We made a special trip last weekend. This place is a real find. Excellent food and a really unique homey feel. The staff was great and very friendly. I think at least 4 or 5 people including the owners thanked us on the way out. We will be back every chance we get.
Ps. Order the combo!
