Golden Eagle?

by Steve Serjeant

There are about six that fly and soar around the area.

I'm not sure if they are Golden Eagles or not.

They are all Brown with some white splashes and they seem to like to soar over the 401.

I've only seen one up close a few times and they have a Brown to light brown colour.

They are quite large with a large wing span and they fly over highway 401 at the Rouge Valley bridge.

Very beautiful and majestic, but scary when I have my 6 pound dog outside.

Hi Steve, I believe that bird of prey(s) you have seen may be Golden Eagles, or Ospreys, they look somewhat similar and can be a little hard to tell them apart. Hope this helps you.
