Eagles sighted near Mount Forest

by Kathryn
(Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada)

Driving to Mount Forest, Ontario, last Sunday, July 31st, I spotted three Bald Ealges fighting over dinner in a field by the side of highway 89.

Two of them flew right over the hood of my car, leaving the other to eat alone.

I have never seen an Eagle up close, only in my binoculars - so it was a rare treat indeed.

Last evening I was on the island at Murphy’s Park and spotted a Bald Eagle in a log. It then flew across the river and we followed it to get some amazing pictures.

Bald Eagle Nest near Mount Forest, Ontario

We have a large nest in the woods across from our house. Today we noticed a large bald eagle sitting in a tree. There are also three other birds around him, could be family members?

Bald Eagle spotted in Mount Forest
by: Susan Vandongen

While driving down the #6 highway yesterday just leaving Mt. Forest, February 15 ,2014, I saw what I thought was a hawk like always, till I saw the white head and white tail. Then I knew it was a Bald Eagle as it got closer, it was a beautiful sight to see.
