Hawk on the fence

Hawk on the fence

Woke up this morning, December 13, 2021 and looked out my patio window to find this majestic Hawk sitting on my fence.

He sat for a good 5 minutes while I sipped my coffee.

I’m unsure what kind of hawk this is, but I’m so glad I was able to snap a couple of pics before he flew off.

Wish I had a better camera than my phone!

Judging by it's size in your photo I would say that's a Coopers Hawk. They are 15½-17½ inches (40-45cm) long from head to tip of tail. Another smaller hawk that looks very similar other then their smaller size is a Sharp-Shinned Hawk. They are 11 inches long or (28cm). Nice photo.
