Chatham Ontario Spotting

The other day I was sitting in my car and looked up. We have a lot of Turkey Vultures in the area so I thought nothing of the big bird in the sky, and then realized it had a white tail.

I grabbed my camera and it flew around the area for a while, then headed west along the Thames River.

I was able to snap a few photos before it disappeared.

This is the third sighting for me in the area, its the first this year though.

The photos are not the greatest as I was in panic mode reaching for the camera ... :( I look daily to get more photos.

Thank you for sending us your pictures of the Bald Eagle.

I will also be posting this on our facebook page.

Eagle sighting
by: Frank

Eagles are making a return in numbers over the
past few years here in Ontario. Yeah! Nice mature adult there. It takes 4 years for a Bald Eagle to reach adulthood and gain that white head feathering. Enjoy the moment.
