Bald Eagle Sighting

While sitting in my work truck enjoying a coffee break, I wasn't positive about what I was seeing in the sky.

As the bird got closer and eventually passed right overhead, I was certain that it was in fact a Bald Eagle.

I've never seen one in Ontario before, and was surprised that I spotted this beautiful bird in Burlington, not too far north of Lake Ontario.

North of highway 407 in Burlington along Bronte Creek. It was circling in a perfectly blue sky enjoying the sun. Amazing sight.

January 31, spotted a Bald Eagle on the Hamilton side of the Skyway right near the start. It was high in a tree.

Thursday January 24th 11:45 am, saw eagle flying over John T Tuck PS. Flew towards window, on top of school. Grade 6 students were in awe watching!

Monday January 16th. Spotted a bald eagle sitting in a tree near the skyway bridge. Couldn't believe my eyes at first thinking they’re way up north.

June 21 2022 walking dogs in Bronte Creek and a young Bald Eagle flew just over our heads heading up the creek. Can't have been more than 20 feet above us, quite the sight to see it fly towards us, then glance down just to give us a look. :)

A bald eagle flew over Walkers Line with a hawk following and pecking at the tail. Then they split in different directions, the eagle towards the lake and the other eastward. Quite the sight to see !

I was within 100 feet of a Bald Eagle in a creek near Bronte Provincial Park. Watched as it landed and took off.

I saw a Bald Eagle above Robert Bateman High School in the late morning. It had a large wingspan and white head. It was amazing!

Saw a female Bald Eagle on Britannia Road between Guelph Line and Walkers Line. It was grounded and lifted off heading east. Beautiful sight to see.

While on yard duty (Feb 6, 2018 at approx. 1:15) at Canadian Martyrs in Burlington, Ontario, myself and a co-worker saw a Bald Eagle soar around the yard once and it was gone. About 20 minutes later two crows were chasing after a Red Tailed Hawk. We keep looking to the sky to catch another glimpse of that beautiful Bald Eagle!

February 18 4:15 pm. A Bald Eagle flew past level with my ninth floor south facing window on the Lakeshore in Burlington. The magnificent bird was flying eastbound along the lake. An amazing sight to behold.

From my back yard on Cedar Springs Road today (Jan 29, 2016 north of Burlington, Ontario) I saw a Bald Eagle fly overhead. The white head was unmistakable.

I have just seen a Bald Eagle fly in front of the apartments located across from Lakeside Shopping Village. It was flying along the lake and veered west towards the escarpment. Amazing! November 27th, 2015 1:30pm
