White squirrel in schoolyard

by Matthew Maddox
(Thorold, Ontario, Canada)

I was on my way home from a friends when I noticed a weird looking Squirrel in the middle of a schoolyard in Thorold, Ontario.

This was the first, and so far the only, time I have ever seen one, but it was a scene I will always remember.

I was unable to get a picture as I had no camera at the time.

Sighting White Squirrels
by: Mary Lynn Horton

I too have seen White Squirrels. I live near Thorold but have never seen them there.

I saw my first white squirrel in Prince Edward County on Morrison Point Road near Picton, Ontario.

For years we would drive along Morrison Point Road and look for the ¨White Squirrels¨"and quite often, we would see them. Guess it is a genetic thing like white Rhinos or Albino animals of other species.

Anyways, nice to hear someone else has seen them.
Sometimes you see these strange things in nature and you think....¨did I really see that?¨.

Nice to know we have others who have seen this rare creature too.
