Robin moves with home owner

by Bev
(Barrie,On)

My son had a Robin that nested every year over the security light on the front of his garage.

She became very tame and would feed her chicks and do her other daily things while he was working in the garage or in the yard.

She came back several years and did the same thing.

Then he sold the house and moved next door to another house with a garage with a security light over the door.

When the Robin came back that spring, she found new people at her old place, so after checking things out she moved next door too!

I don't know how long Robins live, but my son said she arrived later than usual a year ago and spent a long time just sitting on the lawn, as if she was resting.

I haven't heard if she got back this year.

What a funny situation, I have never heard of a bird doing that before!
