Northern Lights near Ottawa and Montrea

by Mike

Mike, one of our readers, sent us this report of his sightings of the Aurora Borealis - I have seen them three times while I was living in Vankleek Hill, Eastern Ontario (roughly half way between Ottawa and Montreal).

Two of the three times, they were predominantly green, and the other time they were more blue. They were not as intensive as they would have been further North, but was still an amazing sight.

Thanks, Mike, they are amazing aren't they!

I see them too

I have seen the lights in Northern Ontario over the years. The best ones come after solar activity and I saw some a few weeks ago in early August 2010 up near Sudbury.
