Mockingbird?

by Doug Rhea
(Kingsville, Ontario, Canada)

Hi, I live in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada and in the last few days I have noticed and heard a bird that I don't recall seeing before.

I think it may be a "Mocking Bird" but I did not think they were this far north. Could it be?

Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug, sorry for the delay in posting your question - I was out of the country.

I am not sure if the bird you are seeing and hearing could be a Mockingbird, but maybe one of our readers might know.

I did find this information on Wikipedia, which says that Southern Ontario is part of the northern range of the Mockingbird, so who knows - this may be what you have in your neighbourhood!
