Memories

by Vikki McAllister-Fuller
(Neskowin, OR, USA)

I was married to Larry Thomas Fuller until his death in June 2004. He was born in St Thomas in 1952. From 1989 (marriage date) to 2004, we spent lot of time at Lake Erie on those hot and humid days.

Larry worked for the bus company in London where we lived, and he was also a local artist who did lots of old L&PS prints among other art. He also did tons of London artwork.

His father was Holly (Holester) Fuller who created "Burnie Bernie the Friendly Flame" for fire prevention in 1962, which is still being used as far as I know.

His Dad also had a comic strip in the papers for years called "The Missing Links".

Thanks Vikki, for your story.

The Owl
by: Carol

I just purchased number 51 of 200 of the most magnificent Owl by Larry Fuller from my neighbour who was having a garage sale. He seemed reluctant to part with it as his Mom purchased it for him but was reassured that it was going to a good home where it would be appreciated. Glad I could find some info on the artist!

Just purchased some art
by: Anonymous

I just purchased some of Larry Fullers L&PS illustrations because I loved them at first sight. I decided to see if I could find out more about him and stumbled upon this post. I am sad to see he has passed but wanted to let you know how much I love the illustrations I've just purchased. He was a talented man.

Memories

My dad was good friends with Larry, I just randomly saw the name Fuller in some movie credits and decided to see if I could find any of Larry's paintings online as I am an artist and comicstrip artist myself. I vaguely remember Larry myself as I was young at the time, a few of his works still hang on my Dad's livingroom wall, he even has some "Missing links" cut from papers. Nice to see some things are not forgotten.....
