(Brampton, Ontario, Canada)

We were driving along highway 407 in the Mississauga area between highway 403 and the 401 at 1:30 pm Friday, March 23rd.

There's a wet-lands area, resembling a small lake, that's home to a large flock of Canada geese that we always watch out for on the eastbound lanes.

I thought the ice was breaking up at first on the lake but as we got closer we saw that it was Swans. There were hundreds of migrating birds all mixed together in that lake - swans, Canada Geese, Mallards and young birds too.

This is the first year we've seen Swans in this lake with the other birds.
