First Robin of 2013

by Josephine

This morning March 1st at 5:30 am as I was returning home from my daily hour walk, I could have sworn there was a Robin in our tree.

He was tweeting for the longest and loudest.

I did not see him because it being still dark, but I know the distinct Robin sound. So I quickly filled our bird feeder but my Husband was not sure if Robins eat seeds.

I think suet might be better than seeds as they eat worms and grubs, and they won't find many around at this time.

Josephine, I hope you don't mind, but I moved your submission to our "Robins" section and gave it a page of its own - more people are likely to see it here.

That is a good news.
I hope it was a Robin, but any bird will do as long as this winter goes away.
