August - Where are all the Robins?

by Diana Pearson
(Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada)

Last August we received a question from one of our readers ... I live on Boblo Island, across from Amherstburg, Ontario.

We have a lush garden and clean bird bath and normally see dozens of Robins hopping through through the yard daily.

For about one week I have not seen one Robin around our yard or anywhere on the island.

Where have they all gone?

Well, readers, when do the Robins leave at the end of the summer where you live?

Here in Elgin County they seem to migrate south around the end of August, but I assume this varies with the location and the weather.

Please let us know.
