Wolves spotted in Caledon and Beeton

by Two Readers
(Caledon and Beeton)

Two readers sent us reports of their Wolf sightings, the first is from Caladon, Ontario .....

There's a Crab Apple tree out front of my country home in Caledon, Ontario, where deer usually eat.

Tonight, there was a Grey Wolf that stood about 3 feet high, 5-6 feet long and the head the size of a beach ball, lurking around the area.

I believe him to be tracking deer. In any event, one truly massive and beautiful animal.

Now where's my shotgun!?

Richard, from Beeton, Ontario, sent us this report .....

Tonight at around 9:45 pm, we saw a Wolf on the 5th side road south of highway 89.

It was a beautiful animal.

Wolves vs Wild dogs
by: Country Gal

Hi
I was raised in Caledon on a small hobby farm and there were Wolves as well as wild dogs. Most of the Wolves came from an Exotic farm that was in and around the Caledon area over 40 years ago.

Two wolves had got out and decided to head for the hills - the Caledon Hills near the forks of the Credit River, clay hills and the Inglewood area and that's how the Wolves in Caledon became.

Some of the farm dogs have mated with the Wolves, strange as it is, but it does happen as I had two pups from a farm up there that were of Hybrid breed cross that are now popular wolf crossed with domestic dogs.

I had met up with one in the back of our property as a kid but the wild dogs are the worst as they have a grudge against humans for being dumped up in the Caledon-Orangeville area.

My sister and I were chased by a pack of wild dogs when she lived in the country part of Orangeville, Ontario.

I am now down in the country of Southwestern Ontario near lake Erie and haven't heard Wolves as of yet, but they will make their way I believe that.
