What are these - Sandhill Cranes?

by Lisa Devan
(Dunsford, Ontario, Canada)

Sandhill Cranes?

Sandhill Cranes?

We were biking along Thurstonia Road in Dunsford, Ontario when we saw these two birds feeding in a farmers field.

Can you please let us know what they are?

Well, Lisa, I think you spotted a pair of Sandhill Cranes. They are probably making their way south during their Fall migration.

Do any of our readers have a definitive identification? Please let us know if you can identify these birds

Yes, those look like Sandhill Cranes
by: Bex

Those two birds in your picture, look like Sandhill Cranes to me. I don't know of another bird that size or that colour - you are lucky to have seen them!
