Surprise Crossing

We were driving today, January 11, 2011 toward Toronto on the 401, when a pair of Coyotes (reddish brown) ran across the east-bound highway through the median and then across the west-bound 401 in front of us!

Luckily there was not a lot of traffic, but they seemed to lope across in not much of a hurry.

It was quite a lovely surprise.

This was in the Gananoque area.
