Any winter morning you can find Snowy Owls in New Tecumseth if you know where to look ...

The 11th Line between Tottenham Road (County Rd 10) and Beeton Road (10th side Road).

Look at the top of the telephone poles on the north side of the road. You won't be disappointed!!

In the last week I have sighted three distinctly different Owls. I see them every morning around 0730 - 0800 on my way home.

If you make a high pitched squeaking sound they look in your direction.

I've walked up and stood right under them; they wait a while then fly off the pole and skim the ground heading north.

Thank you, John, for sending us your report of the Snowy Owls in Alliston.

I found a picture of a Snowy on a utility pole and thought it would be good for here!

I will also post this on our facebook page so our facebook followers can read it.
