Seen a Coyote This Morning

by Tiffani
(Wheatley, Ontario, Canada)

We recently moved out into Wheatley, Ontario. We hardly have any neighbours and are surrounded by fields.

We have heard some strange sounds which we thought to be Coyotes but weren't certain until today.

My kids have grown up in the city so they are slightly frightened of the 'unknown' which in our case is the wildlife.

This morning my husband and I were on our way to work and shortly down the road from our house a Coyote came out from one farmers field and crossed the street into another.

This was the first time I had ever seen a Coyote, beautiful animals! It was a reddish brown color and about the size of a small German Shepherd, which startled me because I thought that they were supposed to be only a little bigger than a fox or the size of a small dog.

Needless to say I am now fascinated and will be writing an article on Coyotes which you can find here in my Blog.
