Raptor - Hawk

by Cheryl Reid
(London, Ontario, Canada)

I live on the 12th floor of an apartment in central London, Ontario. This is my second sighting. The first was the bird going after pigeons on the apartment across from me.

Now today, it is just sitting on a balcony across from my building. Same one as it was going after pigeons on.

Simply amazing ..... wishing my camera was working or that I had binoculars so I could get a better look.

I can't tell what kind it is, but find this amazing in the downtown area.

Raptor - Hawk

More than likely a Red-Tailed Hawk. There are many in and around local parks. I have pictures of an injured one, plus one perched on the roof of an apartment building.

Thanks - if you have pictures, please submit them to us, as our readers would love to see them!

Peregrine Falcon?
by: Anonymous

From the fact that it's chasing pigeons, it sounds like a Peregrine Falcon. I think they may be nesting somewhere around there. Check Peregrine Foundation as they may have more info.
