Name this Bird


(Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada)

I recently met up with this bird at my local Humane Society in Niagara Falls. He was later brought out to the wild and set free.

He didn't like us much and actually growled which made us all laugh. could you tell me what kind of bird this is?
