Mystery Raptor!

I don't know what it is ... it is relatively small and very agile. It hunts the birds that attend our bird feeder complex.

Yesterday around 4:00 pm I saw it chasing a smaller bird in circles above our yard. I have also seen it do rings around trees in pursuit of a smaller bird.

Any ideas what this could be?

I DO know that its presence has caused the number of other bird visitors to our yard to dwindle!

Hi Katherine in Whitby,
Would you please list some details about this bird? For example any markings it may have, an approximate size,or any other hints that might help others name it for you...sorry to hear how mean it is to the other little ones, especially when they've become accustomed to eating from your feeders...Good luck!

Katherine
