Mrs. Map Turtle Swims Again

Here is Mrs. Map Turtle - Remember she was hit by a car a few weeks ago.

We have observed her floating and diving in my hospital tank for 2-3 days. She can dive to the bottom, thus she can dive to the bottom of a pond to feed, escape predators and hibernate for the winter.

If she could not have done this I would have kept her until she metabolized the air from her shell. (pneumothorax)

She is in the river near my house & I can watch for her.
