May 31, 2011 sighting

by Lynne
(Ontario, Canada )

May 31, 2011 about 5:30 a.m.

At Ravenshoe around Udora, a Coyote crossed the road in front of us, we guessed male because he was quite tall though slim with a really healthy looking coat.

He appeared quite nonchalant about our presence but didn't stop watching us until he stepped into the bush on the other side of the road.

We wondered if he was part of a team, as we have seen hunting in the farmers fields around there in the winter.

Do they share territory with other Coyotes or are we likely seeing the same one/pair we saw in the winter?

I'm not sure about your territory question, perhaps one of our readers will know, and will write in to tell us.
