March 9 at Aylmer Wildlife

by Suzanne Southon
(London, Ontario)

Swans

Swans

Suzanne, one of our readers, sent us this report of her sighting of Tundra Swans - On Sunday, March 7th, I visited Aylmer Wildlife Management area. The pond was frozen and there was no corn out. Make the count 12 for Canada Geese!!

On March 9th, I again went out and the pond had open water and the corn had been put down. Four Tundra Swans flew over the pond, the first ones that I have seen this year.

Not only that, but the Grackles had arrived as well. Spring cannot be far off.

Sue
