Lone Coyote in Central Ajax

by June
(Ajax, ON)

Thursday, June 2, 2011 approx 6:30 pm

While driving home from the Go Station at Fairall and Dowty Streets, I saw what I was sure was a young Coyote just foraging along the front of the shop at the north west corner.

Unfortunately, my cell phone doesn't have a built-in camera so I couldn't get a photo.

As soon as I arrived home I googled and found this site with photos and sure enough, it was a Coyote that I saw.

I was stunned to see a Coyote in the centre of town and right out in the open - without fear.

Coyote in downtown Ajax
by: Anonymous

I live in the area and was able to get a picture with my iPhone of this Coyote,(but its very far) traveling alone as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same one.
He was in the field next to the Legion Hall on the south side Hunt Street.
