Jordan Harbour Sighting

by Karen
(St. Catharines, Ontario)

While driving on the QEW on February 5, 2011, I saw a Bald Eagle flying over the water in the Jordan Harbour.

I knew it was definately NOT a Hawk because of the white head.

I was very excited and told my husband, who told me that there are no Bald Eagles around here.

Boy will he be surprised to learn that we do have them!

Thanks for the info, Karen, I'm glad you spotted a Bald Eagle - and yes, your hubby will likely be very surprised! Please keep us updated if you see it again.

Below is another report from one of our readers in Hamilton, Ontario, who says .....

Saw a Bald Eagle landing in a corn field just south of Highway 5 and east of Brock Road. I could not believe my eyes at first, but the huge yellow feet and wide white tail, gave it away. It was very majestic to see in the wild.
