Fallingbrook Ravine / Nature Trail

Approximately 10:00 hrs on Saturday, December 31st, 2011 we observed a rather healthy looking Coyote walking in a northerly direction alongside a waterfall / ravine area in the Fallingbrook / Orleans area of Ottawa.

The area is frequented by residents walking their dogs, however, the Coyote was disinterested in both ourselves (myself and husband), as well as our small Cocker Spaniel.

We back on to the ravine off Duford Street and often see a Coyote walking along the fence line of our backyard. There's no mistaking them as this one is quite large. We have a large dog but are still very careful as a Coyote will attack.
